E4E-LA and community groups call on UTLA president to sign the district Race to the Top application

Educators 4 Excellence, the Alliance for A Better Community, the Community Coalition, United Way of Greater Los Angeles, Families In School, and InnerCity Struggle signed a joint letter to UTLA President Warren Fletcher calling for the union's signature on Los Angeles Unified School District's Race to the Top application. With $40 million in funds at stake through the federal grant process, E4E and its partners expressed strong support for the grant that would provide needed funds for Linked Learning pathways, parent engagement programs, individualized support for students, professional development, and digital tablets.
